Additionally, piece selection mechanisms vary between client implementations and target audience. A client oriented towards distribution of video files may, for example, deviate from standard piece selection by favoring pieces at the beginning of each file, thus supporting real-time video streaming prior to download completion. Any such piece and torrent prioritization algorithms active within a given BitTorrent client are or little, if any, use to a BitTorious client, and are likely to impair the resiliency of the BitTorious network by disproportionately over-replicating certain pieces since BitTorrent client developers tend to assume that the user chooses the torrents to join, not the tracker.

Real EGPWS draws magenta in areas that are not in the terrain database. In X-Plain, during the flight, an area of 3x3 degrees is always loaded. Approximately 300 by 300 kilometers. Anything outside of this area does not exist, X-Plane returns ERROR for these areas. So I am using the same logic as EGPWS i.e. I draw magenta. In fact, it should have worked in XP11, but it returned a height of 0 MSL instead of an error. Probably in XP12 they noticed a bug and fixed the API.
I think the core takeaway from that statement is that you're very tempted to just split off arbitrary chunks of a service and make them communicate through synchronous calls through a somewhat general-purpose protocol. In that regard, only using HTTP is quite limiting. I'd even argue that only using TCP is still quite limiting, since some services which could benefit from being more distributed may already use UDP-based protocols for better efficiency, one example is torrent trackers.
